October 22nd marks a moment etched in memories for Safe Haven. The band has been a household name at the Northern California Festival Joshuafest since they were featured for the first time in the summer of 2006. With time comes age which brings forth maturity and experience for any artist. In just two days their second album “In The Middle Of Destruction” turns one year old since its debut. The band was scheduled to perform on the main stage at 6pm when a sudden drift of light rain graced the Amador County Fairgrounds. The skies darkened and the rain began to fall harder as the band played on to “Time To Live Again” and closed their set with their old pop-punk anthem “Hurry, I Don’t Wanna Go” with a rendition of “Shout”. The temperature dropped as the lights shined bright, the rain fell hard as the crowd responded for more, and the music… well the music carried on. With the start of their Live Love Guatemala Tour this performance was hands down the return of a band hungry for change and movement. The audience and the band became part of a moment and spectacle so special that neither could ever forget. Amber Watson, WMDT TV, interviews Safe Haven No-Kill Animal Sanctuary’s Executive Director Anne Gryczon. Gracie, the little pit bull mix in Anne’s lap was saved from being killed at Kent County SPCA. Safe Haven has been pulling dogs from Kent County SPCA since January 2011 when the new Delaware Shelter Standards law became effective. The law requires that before any shelter kills an animal, rescue groups must be notified so they can decide whether to pull the animal. Safe Haven has been pulling dogs every week – old, sick, wounded, shy and so-called “aggressive” dogs. The dogs are placed in foster homes or boarded in kennels until they are adopted or transported to No-Kill shelters in northern New England. When Safe Haven opens in Fall 2011, there will be cage-free space for 150 dogs and 250 cats.

“SAFE HAVEN” PLOT: Society suffers from some unexpected side effects when a miracle drug is created to cure all things deadly such as Cancer, AIDS, and various STD’s.
